It’s official. Maryland will have online sports betting for the NFL season. This was after Governor Larry Hogan signed House Bill 940 to legalize sports wagering in the state.
And what do you know – Maryland is home to the Baltimore Ravens.
Last season, the AFC North squad finished 8-9 and missed the postseason. Starting quarterback Lamar Jackson missed several games, and the defense also dealt with terrible health.
So, heading into 2022, where do the Ravens stand? Here, we will look at their 2022-23 season prospects, including win/loss totals, Super Bowl odds, and review their draft.
Ravens 2022 NFL Draft Results
Player | Position | Round/Pick |
Kyle Hamilton | Safety | 1/14 |
Tyler Linderbaum | Center | 1/25 |
David Ojabo | EDGE | 2/45 |
Travis Jones | Defensive Tackle | 3/76 |
Daniel Faalele | Offensive Tackle | 4/10 |
Jalyn Armour-Davis | Cornerback | 4/119 |
Charlie Kolar | Tight End | 4/128 |
Jordan Stout | Punter | 4/130 |
Isaiah Likely | Tight End | 4/139 |
Damarion Williams | Cornerback | 4/141 |
Tyler Badie | Running Back | 6/196 |
On top of the results above, the Ravens struck a draft-day deal to send wide receiver Marquise Brown to the Arizona Cardinals for what resulted in the Linderbaum pick.
In trading him, that leaves the Ravens with wide receiver Rashod Bateman and tight end Mark Andrews, as the top-two pass catcher. Additionally, the team has Devin Duvernay, Tylan Wallace, the tight ends they drafted, and a roster of receivers that are borderline practice squad players.
Considering the draft results, bringing in Hamilton will immediately bolster a secondary with Marlon Humphrey, Chuck Clark, and the newly-signed Marcus Williams.

More Ravens Problems…
The offensive line also dealt with injuries, including that of starting left tackle Ronnie Stanley. The Ravens now have Linderbaum playing center, who will be an easy plug-and-play guy, and Faalele, in the fourth round, adds a massive body (6’8”, 384 pounds) to help plug some holes.
The team’s second-round selection, Ojabo, is coming off an Achilles injury. He was slated to be a top-15 selection before this. So, Ojabo will essentially be a “red shirt” this season but be a massive player for the team next season.
Overall, the draft helped secure the defense’s back end and provide a starting center and offensive line depth.
Ravens Projected Win Total
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Ravens’ over/under on win total is 10.5.
- Over 10.5 (+100)
- Under 10.5 (-120)

This is two more wins than last season, but as mentioned, the team was without Jackson for several games.
In addition to Jackson being back, the team’s rushing attack will, at some point, get both running back J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards back, who missed the entire season. The team did bring in Mike Davis, who could help with a two-back committee should either miss time to open the season.
Without Brown, the Ravens will operate as they usually do. Run the ball with the running backs and Jackson.

While losing Brown may have been their No. 1 receiver, the No. 1 receiver on the Ravens isn’t anything to write home about as Jackson mainly runs the ball or passes it to Andrews.
Last season, Brown did go over 1,000 yards on 91 receptions for six touchdowns. Still, his biggest game came with backup quarterback Tyler Huntley.
Make no mistake, losing Brown is a loss, but it won’t impact the team as much as it would other pass-centric offenses.
PointsBet Sportsbook SECOND CHANCE
Threats from Ohio
The unfortunate thing for the Ravens is that they’re in a division with two exciting Ohio franchises. the reigning AFC Champion Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Browns, who now have quarterback Deshaun Watson.
Now, Watson will almost certainly be suspended, but we’re just not sure for how long. If he is out the full season, the Ravens only need to worry about the Bengals for two games instead of four difficult games in the division.
Ravens Schedule 2022-2023
Looking at the schedule, here are the games you can feel pretty good about a winning result.
Week | Opponent |
Week 1 | New York Jets |
Week 3 | New England Patriots |
Week 6 | New York Giants |
Week 9 | New Orleans Saints |
Week 11 | Carolina Panthers |
Week 12 | Jacksonville Jaguars |
Week 14 | Pittsburgh Steelers |
Week 16 | Atlanta Falcons |
Week 17 | Pittsburgh Steelers |
Just from that list above, that gives the team nine wins. Here are the remaining games.
Week | Opponent |
Week 2 | Miami Dolphins |
Week 4 | Buffalo Bills |
Week 5 | Cincinnati Bengals |
Week 7 | Cleveland Browns |
Week 8 | Tampa Bay Buccaneers |
Week 10 | BYE |
Week 13 | Denver Broncos |
Week 15 | Cleveland Browns |
Week 18 | Cincinnati Bengals |
There are some difficult games in there. Still, if Watson is suspended, that could be another easy two wins, and from there, the chances of the Ravens winning any amount of these games is doable.
There is plus value on the over of 10.5. It’s risky, but the “+” line encourages us to take them over.
Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl Odds
At FanDuel Sportsbook, the Ravens are +2100 to win the Super Bowl. They are tied for 10th with the Bengals.
FanDuel Sportsbook SPECIAL OFFER
Unfortunately, the Baltimore Ravens are in the AFC, as this division is littered with talent. Several teams could realistically make the postseason. It’s a shorter list of teams that have a not-so-good chance at making it.
- New York Jets
- Houston Texans
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Jacksonville Jaguars
It would be a surprise if one of those four teams made the postseason. However, that leaves 12 teams that could round out a 7-team playoff.
The Ravens’ offense is such that it works well for them if they take the lead. But if they fall behind, they can’t exactly throw their way back like other teams. It will be difficult for the Ravens to win the Super Bowl this season in a loaded AFC. Pass on this wager.
